Yuyu Hwang, Massage Qi’s certified massage therapist, has been practicing since 2008.
Her expertise in Chinese and Thai techniques allows her to provide clients with rejuvenating treatments that leave them feeling renewed and refreshed.

Bio | Tamao
(pronounced Ta-Ma-O)
Tamao is a certified massage therapist and yoga teacher with over 20 years of experience in holistic wellness. She specializes in Reiki and Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD), and also offers Swedish Massage, Seitai, Reflexology, Scar Release Therapy, Shiatsu, Acupressure, Maya Abdominal Therapy, Prenatal/Postnatal Massage, and Seitai (Japanese Osteopathic Alignment therapy).
She has worked in hospital and clinical settings, including palliative care and oncology support at the Inova Schar Cancer Institute. These experiences strengthened her focus on stress reduction, pain management, and integrative care.
Originally from Japan, Tamao continues to return regularly to deepen her studies in traditional healing arts. She is a graduate of the Applied Kinesthetic Studies School (A.K.S.) and holds a B.A. from The American University. A Reiki Master since 2007, her lineage traces directly back to the founder, Mikao Usui.
The daughter of an Aikido master, Tamao has practiced for more than 50 years and earned her black belt at age 16. She is also a Qigong and Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200), integrating yoga, mindfulness, and breath into her therapeutic work.
