What do you mean Self-Love, Healing, and Wellness? I’m glad you asked!
AS GOOD AS IT FEELS, REFLEXOLOGY IS MORE THAN JUST A FOOT MASSAGE.
According to the New York Times, Reflexology is growing in popularity all over the world. Why? In the past 10 years, Reflexology has fully emerged from “alternative” medicine to now being embraced by scientific and medical communities as a vital treatment option for a wide variety of reasons. It has been clinically proven to reduce pain including lower back and cancer related pain, stress and anxiety. It also has proven positive effects on such diverse ailments as diabetes, kidney function, migraines, and even sinusitis. In the US alone, Reflexology is now an integrated part of comprehensive nursing curricula (e.g. Michigan State University), hospital services (e.g. NYU Medical Center and U of Maryland) and cancer treatment (e.g. Columbia U and U of Arizona).
BUT WHAT IS REFLEXOLOGY?
With its roots in both ancient Egypt and China, Reflexology is the art and science of applying pressure to parts of the foot to stimulate nerve passageways to the rest of the body. Nerve clusters and pressure points on the feet, hands, and ears correspond directly to organs and systems throughout the body. Reflexologists activate these areas with pressure which then positively impacts overall health. Maps of these reflex areas have been studied and refined over thousands of years giving today’s Reflexologists a highly mature view of how to help each client with their specific needs.
IS REFLEXOLOGY RIGHT FOR YOU?
Reflexology is useful for any age, body type, or level of health. Are you experiencing pain, stress or anxiety? Do you want to feel healthier with more energy?
